Upcoming Events:
Due to recent changes on visa/immigration laws here, I'll be returning
to the states in April for 60 days. This is an unexpected requirement
(in my mind and for our established budget) but we know that God orchestrates
all things according to His infinite wisdom.
If you are a pastor (or you think your pastor would be interested)
please consider allowing me to come and share what God is doing through
Share Our Hope with your church/congregation. I'm scheduling services
(ty
pically only a10-15 minute presentation) anytime after Easter.
If you would like additional information, please email me at eda@shareourhope.com.

We
must remember to pray for the survivors of the earthquake in Haiti,
especially the children and those still trapped in the rubble.
May
God give the first-responders the strength and wisdom they need to
carry on these rescue and aid efforts efficiently and safely. May His
spirit move mightily with all missionaries and pastors so they may have
the physical and spiritual resources needed to serve the needs of their
communities. May God comfort the families who have lost loved ones and
turn their hearts towards His truth and peace in this time of
suffering. Above all, may His name be glorified on this earth and His
will be done. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Please remember them all in prayer.
If
anyone would like to make a special donation to ShareOurHope to help
with the relief effort, I will see that it goes directly to help
children affected by this disaster.
Thanks to each of you, blessings and HOPE, EDA | |
Last
week, we went to one of the major slum areas in the center of old Delhi
outside of a mosque. It's quite hard to describe the living conditions
and the reasons for it.
smells and sights and sounds, smoke hanging in the air from dung fires
and ganja... precious goats covered with blankets against the chill of
the air while babies toddled bare from the waist down with feet as dark
as ashes.
It was overwhelming but we walked about safely and I went from
fire to fire squatting and chatting with the women and children. I held
so many small babies that I lost count... as soon as I'd hand one child
back, others were pressing around. I prayed a blessing over each and
every one. As we were leaving, a small
crowd of about 30 adults (plus the kids) gathered around
spontaneously. So we began to speak and through interpretation, we
were able to
pray for them and present the gospel of hope, briefly and simply.

The
girl's home, New Hope, that Share Our Hope sponsors admitted a new
girl, "Tina" two weeks ago. She had run away from a very difficult
home situation and was kidnapped by a prostitution ring. She managed to
escape in a nearby village and by God's grace was spotted by a
businessman who knew how to contact us. He brought her here and even
filed a police report for her... unusual in these circumstances...
"Tina" stayed with us for 2 weeks and then we were able to help her get to her
grandmother's home (a safe place) in Calcutta.
I was able to find a Bible in Bengali (not the local language, but the
only language she can partially read) for her to take with her and we
provided her with warm clothes and food and a train ticket.
Please pray for God to continue to work in this child's life and heal her physical and emotional scars.
Thanks for all of your recent support. It is your donations that enable
these type of life changing events. Please continue to pray for our
wisdom, finances, and protection.
